Jimmy Stein
James "Jimmy" Stein (born 7 November 1904, deceased) was a Scottish professional association footballer who played as a winger. Stein was a model professional who had the distinction of scoring Everton's first-ever goal at Wembley when he netted in the 1933 FA Cup Final. A Scotsman, he joined Everton from Dunfermline in 1928 and was part of the Blues teams that won the 2nd Division, 1st Division and FA Cup in successive seasons between 1930 and 1933. He moved on to Burnley in October 1936 before ending his career at New Brighton ==Early career== Jimmy signed as a youngster with West Lothian Junior side Blackburn Rovers and played centre-forward, he stayed locally in East Whitburn. He scored twice in a league game against Bo'ness Juniors and shortly afterwards on 24 October 1924, at the age of 19, he signed terms with Second Division Dunfermline Athletic. Blackburn Rovers folded the following year. Dunfermline were promoted as Champions in season 1925-26 and during the next two seasons Stein made 61 appearances scoring 10 goals before signing for Everton.
